Teen Hit By Car After Exiting Crashed Car In Delco.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (CBS) -- A teen was rushed to the hospital after getting into an accident and then being hit by a car in Delaware County Wednesday evening.

The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of West Chester Pike in Newtown Square.

According to investigators, a 16-year-old struck another vehicle, lost control of the car, which ended up flipping over two times.

Police say the teen then exited the car and went to check on the other car involved when he was struck by a Chevy Tahoe.

The teen was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was said to be unconscious.

There were no reports of any other injuries.
