PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Just one city basketball team is in action tonight. La Salle will be home at Gola Arena to take on Prarie View A & M.
Explorers’ head coach Dr. John Giannini breaks down the Panthers:
“They’re small, they’re quick, they can shoot the ball. It seems like the three-point shot is a big deal in all the games we are seeing, and they can make threes. So, hopefully if we can limit those opportunities we can win the game.”

The Explorers are 1-1 this season. That loss came last time out as La Salle battled but fell short at #17 Baylor, 74-64.
Coach Giannini says he wants his players to learn how to make the plays that win games like that.
“Small things matter in basketball, and getting key stops is a big deal and avoiding key turnovers is a big deal,” he said. “Our skill level in terms of shooting the ball needs to get a little bit better. Our effort is good, I think our talent is good, and with a little bit of improvement I think we can have a chance to win those games.”
Tip-off tonight at Gola Arena is 7:00 PM.
