Harrah's Entertainment Reaches Agreement With UAW At Caesars Atlantic City

Atlantic City, N.J. (CBS) - Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., announced on Sunday that after more than three years of negotiations, it reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers (UAW) for a collective bargaining agreement for the approximately 800 dealers at Caesars Atlantic City.

The five-year contract is subject to ratification by the membership before it can be implemented.

Don Marrandino, President of Harrah's Eastern Division commented, "Since the dealers elected the UAW as their representative, we have respected our employees' right to choose representation, while advocating for a relationship that enabled us to remain competitive and work together to serve our guests above all else.  This agreement provides that framework."

The agreement is comparable to the contract reached by the UAW and Tropicana Atlantic City, which was ratified by the members in August of this year. Additional details of the agreement's terms will be available after the employee ratification vote, which is expected this month.
