BLOG: Best Shopping Websites
By Jim Donovan: Just in time for the holiday shopping season, ShopSmart magazine has published its first annual list of the best shopping sites.
The list, which is published in the December 2010 issue ShopSmart, from the publisher of Consumer Reports, is broken down into five categories including Clothing & Accessories, Foodie Stuff, Home Décor; Shoes, and Everything Else.
"At ShopSmart, we are constantly scouring the Web for the best shopping sites, whether they offer great bargains, a fantastic selection, or stellar customer service," said Lisa Lee Freeman, editor-in-chief of ShopSmart. "We've looked at thousands of sites, and shopped at plenty of them ourselves. These 40 are our favorites, and they've all been vetted to meet our strict standards."
Every site mentioned within the pages of ShopSmart magazine is evaluated to make sure that it has a posted privacy policy, visible contact information, readily available customer service, and that if they share your information with a third party that customers can opt out. To come up with the final list of ShopSmart's favorite sites all of the editors, designers, art directors and photo editors weighed in with their standout choices.
