MILLVILLE, NJ (CBS) — A grandmother is recovering after being violently attacked during a home invasion in Cumberland County.
The terrifying incident happened at about 8 p.m. Monday inside a home on East Main Street in Millville.
According to family members, several of them, including a seven-month-old and a three-year-old, were inside the home when three armed suspects barged into the home.
The suspects displayed guns and demanded money. They then attacked a 63-year-old grandmother, leaving her with a black eye and numerous stitches on her head and near her eye.
The suspects cut the phone lines inside the home before taking an undisclosed amount of money and fleeing.
Family members believe the attack was well-planned and that the suspects may have been watching the home for days before the attack.
