By Nicole Brewer: You’ve heard the phrase, love at first sight. But, according to dating experts, it takes at least three months to find love that lasts.
In that time, experts say illusion is replaced with reality. Instead of seeing the person for who you want them to be, you begin seeing them for who they actually are.
They say consistency is also a major factor. Experts claim it takes 90 days to see if the new person in your life will stay the course, despite new discoveries.
If you ask me, I think our intuition can be a great indicator as to whether or not we have found “the one.” When I first met my husband, I “knew” he was a man I could marry. Still, it took eight years before I was ready to walk down the aisle.
So, while it was love at first sight, it took time to marry romance with reality.
Do you believe in love at first sight or is it better to abide by the three month rule?
