Pennsylvania Revenue Collections Slump In October

HARRISBURG (CBS) - Pennsylvania recorded a month of sub par revenue collections in October.

The news that Pennsylvania revenue collections were below projections in October came after revenue collections that were modestly above projections for the first three months of the fiscal year. But it shows that the new governor voters will choose today will have his work cut out for him.

Pennsylvania remains a scant 0-point-2 percent above what was expected for the first four months of the fiscal year, cumulatively. But for the month of October alone, revenues were down more than 3-percent led by personal income-tax collections, which were off by almost $44 million.
