Off-Duty Philly Cop Shot In Leg After Altercation In East Mt. Airy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- KYW Newsradio has learned the name of the off-duty Philadelphia police officer who was shot in the wee hours of Tuesday morning following a verbal and physical fight with another man.

Officer Marc Brady, 31, is assigned to the 22nd District. He's been on the job six years.

The altercation happened on Musgrave Street around 12:30 AM, after which police say the unidentified man returned to his car, drove by the off-duty officer, and shot him once in the leg.

Brady was taken to Einstein Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. The search is on for the man who shot Brady.
