COLLINGSWOOD, NJ (CBS) - Collingswood, New Jersey is giving away money to get people to shop in the small town this holiday season.

It’s called Collingswood Cash and for every $50 you buy, you get an additional $20 up to $500 for a total of $200 in free cash to shop in Collingswood.

Joan Lenard is a borough commissioner:

“We just thought what could bring shoppers away from the big box stores and online shopping and bring them back to our charming downtown and just thought we have to show our shoppers that we appreciate them and we want them to have that great holiday traditional feeling.”
