Local Residents Attend Rally To Restore Sanity In DC

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Five bus loads full of people calling themselves "Sanity Supporters" left from 30th Street Station this morning, heading to the rally.

"Because, I'm tired of all the rhetoric that goes on."

Sandy Martin from Philadelphia says she's heard enough from political loudmouths on TV:

"People that are normal and reasonable -- sane -- just need to have a voice too."

The duo of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert may seem unlikely choices to be that voice.

Peg Murphy believes they have done a wonderful job in calling out the hypocrisy of politicians on both sides of the isle:

"They were the first to really put together the evidence with regard to the flip-flopping."

She says Stewart and Colbert, while funny, should be taken seriously for what they do, which she says, is holding politicians accountable.
