Woman, Baby Struck By SEPTA Bus

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman and baby were struck by a SEPTA bus Thursday afternoon as they crossed the street in West Philadelphia.

Authorities say the accident happened just before 3 p.m. as the 26-year-old woman was pushing a stroller across the intersection of 41st Street and Girard Avenue.

The 10-month-old baby girl was thrown from the stroller on impact, police say. The woman was also injured. Both were taken to Hahnemann University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
