The Phillies Are Back In Town

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The team beat it out of San Francisco right after they beat the Giants in game five of the N.L.C.S. The Phillies arrived in Philadelphia just before the dawn of a new day, a fitting time considering the Phillies have lived to play another day.

About a half-dozen fans watched the players file off the plane. "I just picked my daughter up from San Diego and our timing was great to see the Phillies, our champions land. And we're here to just support them. I called him from the plane and he said the Phillies are landing, do you want to see them. I said, yeah."

Outside the ballpark, another dozen or so fans waited for the team to arrive from the airport: "We've been out here since 6:30? I got up at four just so I could get come and welcome them home. I came here most importantly to get my no-hitter ticket signed by Roy Halladay. That's my main goal."
