FBI Searching For Serial Bank Bandit

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The FBI is searching for a bank bandit who has robbed at least five banks since last month in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

The five incidents include a bank in Swedesboro, New Jersey on October 11; two robberies in Maryland on September 16 and 17 and two in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania on September 20 and October 12.

Two of the incidents, the September 16 and the October 11 robberies, involved threatening demand notes. The other three incidents, in which undisclosed amounts of cash were taken, involved the display of a handgun by the suspect during the robberies.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 30's, 5'1" to 5'5" tall, thin build, with a mustache. The subject appears to walk with a limp and has been described as being "bow legged." He has worn baseball caps, sunglasses, long-sleeved shirts or sweatshirts, and gloves during the robberies.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI in Philadelphia at 215-418-4000, the FBI in Baltimore at 410-265-8080, or their local police department.
