PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Fifteen school children received what were described as “very minor” injuries when the school bus in which they were riding crashed into a parked pickup truck Monday morning in West Philadelphia.

Philadelphia police and fire rescue crews were called to the scene, near 63rd and Lebanon in the city’s Overbrook section, about 7:30 AM.

Four medic units tended to the fifteen kids’ bumps and bruises.  Even though the injuries are minor, seven children were taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for examination.

Local detours were in effect near the accident scene.
