Cleaning Woman Convicted Of Cleaning Out Clients

(CBS) - A former cleaning woman from East Goshen is behind bars in Montgomery County after a jury found her guilty of theft and related charges for cleaning out some of her Main Line clients.

The jury convicted Kimberly Williams of theft and receiving stolen property for stealing gold coins, jewelry, and a valuable sports memorabilia collection from five families who trusted her.

The baseball collection, which she claimed was given to her as a gift, was stolen from Adam Kaplan of Wynnewood, who was dying of cancer.

It wasn't until after he died two years ago, his family noticed the collection missing and the investigation began.

His brother Andrew said the guilty verdict brought out a range of emotions:

"Joy, catharsis, relief, vindication and that the truth has finally been told."

The 45-year-old Williams tried to pin the thefts on her estranged husband, a police officer in Delaware County.

She faces a maximum of 35-to-70 years behind bars when she's sentenced early next year.
