After Quite A Journey, A Local Cat Needs A Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A young cat named JoJo -- whose time was running out at a North Carolina animal shelter -- is reunited with his original Delaware County foster care volunteer thanks to a microchip and a Good Samaritan.

About two years ago the Animal Coalition of Delaware County (ACDC) adopted out JoJo. About a week ago the cat was surrendered to a shelter near Fayetteville and through a microchip was linked to ACDC.

Ann Pohl sits on the organization's board. She says the cat will be placed into foster care while awaiting adoption:

"Two weeks in quarantine before he is ready for adoption and then he will be placed back up on our web site and we hope to find a forever home in the area and he will be able to go to a nice, loving family."

An email blast went out to friends of the Animal Coalition of Delaware County to help save JoJo's life.

A flight attendant volunteered to transport the cat back to Philadelphia on her day off.
