One-Man Show 'Killadelphia' At LaSalle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A free one-man show tonight at LaSalle University takes a look at the thorny issue of urban violence. "Killadelphia" starts at 7 p.m. inside the Student Union.

Playwright and performer Sean Christopher Lewis weaves "Killadelphia" out of some intriguing strands, including interviews with lifers at Graterford prison and victim impact group members plus comments from newsmakers and talk show hosts.

Lewis, who lives in Iowa, says the title of the piece kept coming up in his conversations about crime:

"I just thought it was really interesting how segmented the violence is in North and West [Philadelphia], and I'm always interested in how we deal with that as a community."

As in should there be more interaction to try to reduce violence, or less, to just stay out of the line of fire.  If he has an opinion, he's not saying, rather trying to start a conversation on an admittedly tough topic.
