Trial Begins For Main Line Cleaning Lady Accused Of Cleaning Out Employers
Jury selection is underway in Montgomery County, Pa. for a former cleaning lady whom prosecutors say cleaned out -- literally -- the homes of several of her former clients along the Main Line.
Police arrested 45-year-old Kimberly Williams (above and right) in February of last year, accusing her of stealing tens of thousands of dollars in cash, jewelry, silver, and gold coins from five homes in Lower Merion and Delaware County.
Police say she even stole some sports memorabilia from a man who was dying of cancer. After the man died, his family learned that several photo albums full of baseball memorabilia had been sold through a Chester County auction house.
Police say a search of the West Chester home where Williams lived with her husband turned up some of the stolen items.
She has since moved to South Carolina. Her now estranged husband is a police officer in Marple Township. He has not been charged in the case.
