A Phillies’ playoff rally planned for noontime today at Philadelphia City Hall has been postponed due to the weather.
City and team officials note that rain would preclude the Phanatic (above) from participating, and would ruin the giveaways planned for fans.
The Phillies clinched their fourth straight playoff appearance a week ago, but they had to wait until last night to find out their opponent, the NL Central champion Cincinnati Reds.
That game is 5:07 P.M. on Wednesday.
Roy Halladay will pitch for the Phillies in game one, righty Edison Volquez will take the mound for the Reds.
The Phillies are taking Monday off, then working out tomorrow.
