OCEAN CITY, NJ (CBS) – Two people have been arrested after a major marijuana seizure at a popular Jersey shore destination.

Vincent M. Descioli and Vincent J. Runfolo are facing charges after the seizure of seven pounds of pot in Ocean City.

The Ocean City Police Department received a tip about the shipment coming in from California.

Officers then conducted surveillance of the delivery location and observed two men take possession of the package.

The package was then placed in a vehicle driven by Descioli. Police then stopped the car and the package was removed. Police found approximately seven pounds of marijuana inside the package.

Both Descioli, 27, of Egg Harbor Township, and Runfolo, 27, of Hammonton, have been charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute more than 5 lbs. of marijuana and Conspiracy. They are being held on $25,000 full cash bail.

Here on the border (Yuma, Arizona), if you come into the US with under 500 pounds…YES, 500 POUNDS OF WEED, THEY WILL NOT BOTHER ARRESTING YOU!!!!! They just take your car, and escort you to the border fence and let you go. They find over 7 pounds strapped to little kids EVERY DAY!!! Major bust, my arse!

Major marijuana seizure? I don’t know what’s worse, that authorities would see this amount as major, or that a media outlet would naively report it as such.
Our tax dollars at work…maybe this is where Pig Christie needs to start trimming the fat, on the state’s smoke-and-mirrors war on drugs.

“…a major marijuana seizure”… really?! There’s easily 7lbs in a 2 block radius in any city in this country. Thank God the taxpayers supported an operation where this dangerous, life-destroying drug has been taken off the street!
