Delaware Ride Malfunction Injures 5

MIDDLETOWN (CBS) - An amusement "ride-malfunction" sent five people to the hospital Saturday night in Middletown, Delaware.

According to Delaware State Troopers, the Merry Mixer ride at Frightland, located on Port Penn Road, malfunctioned at about 8:43 p.m. injuring five riders.

Authorities say the riders were taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was unknown.

Further details about the incident were not immediately available.

Delaware State Police are investigating.
