PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Northeast High School takes enter stage tonight, as the Tony Danza TV series entitled “Teach” premieres at 10 p.m. on A&E.

“If this doesn’t work, you’re out of here.”

In the trailer for “Teach,” Northeast High principal Linda Carroll tells Tony Danza that if he doesn’t cut it as a first-year teacher, he’s gone:

“If it came out a little harshly, then I didn’t mean to. Because I saw that too! But it was basically just saying to him that we’re very serious about what we do here.”

Danza taught sophomore English to 26 students last year, while the cameras rolled. Carroll says she was pleasantly surprised by Danza’s dedication and desire to do a good job.

She says she’s only seen rough cuts of the show. She’ll watch the final product during a red-carpet preview party tonight.
