PSPCA'S October Howl-O-Ween Adoptions

The Pennsylvania SPCA celebrates the month of October with Homecoming celebrations, Halloween festivities and special adoption promotions.

While Homecoming is traditionally a time of reuniting with old friends, reflecting on fond memories and good times, the Pennsylvania SPCA wants this October to be a time for shelter animals to come home to a new loving family and enjoy a new life.

From Friday, October 1 to Thursday, October 21, adopters will have the chance to win discounted and free adoptions for all adult dogs and cats (six months and older). "Alumni" adopters and foster parents who adopt a new pet will receive extra discounts on their adoption fees. In addition, there will be special Homecoming festivities on the weekends of October 2 and 3, 9 and 10, and 16 and 17, 2010, featuring their very own furry football players and cheerleaders as well as the election of canine and feline Homecoming Kings and Queens.

Beginning Friday, October 22 through Sunday, October 31, the Pennsylvania SPCA will be getting in the Howl-O-Ween spirit with special decorations, tricks and treats, and chances to receive discounted and free adoptions. There will also be a costume contest for staff and visitors on Saturday, October 30.
