ASHBURN, Va. (AP) – Donovan McNabb says he’ll have “maybe just an added chip” on his shoulder as he returns to Philadelphia in a Washington Redskins uniform.
McNabb has tried his best downplay Sunday’s game, when he faces an Eagles team that he quarterbacked for 11 seasons.
Still, he and his teammates and coaches know it’s big deal.
Coach Mike Shanahan said Wednesday that there’s a lot of pressure on players in McNabb’s spot, even if they try to pretend there isn’t.
Asked whether he will hear cheers or boos from the notorious Eagles fans, McNabb said: “Hopefully cheers.”
