Armed Philadelphia Teacher Accused of Dealing Drugs

A Philadelphia physics teacher at the George Washington Carver High School for Engineering and Science is being held on $150,000 bail in Montgomery County after being charged with various drug charges.

KYW's Al Novack reports the Montgomery County District Attorney's office reported Tuesday that Paul Stein, a 9-year veteran teacher of the Philadelphia School District, was charged with allegedly selling a pound of marijuana to an undercover drug task force officer on September 3rd within 100-feet of Cheltenham High School in Wyncote.

Stein was armed when taken into custody. Police searching Stein's Philadelphia home seized another pound of marijuana, 5 guns, a bulletproof vest, and $16,000 in suspected drug money.
