There have been numerous developments in the early detection and treatment of cancer in the past decade. Research in numerous areas –in particular genetic research–has yielded excellent results.
But, despite all of these developments, cancer remains an extremely frustrating problem to deal with.
One of the most difficult examples is ovarian cancer. The symptoms are quite vague. They include fullness, bloating and a feeling that clothes are not fitting just right. Think about it. These are vague symptoms that everyone experiences at one time or another. There are genetic tests and counseling available and this should be considered if ovarian cancer is in the family but it shows how we have a long way to go with many forms of cancer.
