A double-decker crash in Syracuse, New York has claimed four lives; one of the dead is from the Philadelphia area. The vehicle, called a Megabus, was traveling from Philadelphia to Toronto.

KYW’S Kim Glovas reports Onandaga County Sheriff Kevin Walsh says three of the four victims of the crash have been identified. The first was a local college student:

“Kevin Coffey, 19, of Manhattan, Kansas, He is a Temple University student. He was identified by dental records provided by his family. We were in touch with his family earlier in the day.”

The other two victims are a 39-year-old man from India, and the Reverend Benjamin Akerie who was on a speaking engagement here from Malaysia. The fourth victim, a woman, has not been positively identified yet (see previous story).
