A non-partisan organization that works to empower citizens is holding a ‘call to service’ summit on Tuesday in Camden County.
KYW’s Karin Phillip reports the Citizens Campaign is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to inspiring citizen leadership, promoting open government and building a culture of service.
It’s joining with the Community Foundation of South Jersey in a Camden County call to service summit on Tuesday at the Camden County College Blackwood Campus.
Harry Pozycki is the campaign’s chairman:
“Citizens with very little training and a little bit of coaching from our experts, which is all done for free, can learn how to really tackle the biggest problems. And the one that we’re addressing most at the Camden summit is how to cut waste in local government so that citizens can get a handle on property taxes.”
The summit is free and open to the public but you have to pre-register by going to jointhecampaign.com.
