The Philadelphia Bar Association is getting ready for this year’s edition of “The People’s Law School” and you’re invited to enroll.
KYW’s John Ostapkovich reports that this six-week program of Tuesday evening classes at the Criminal Justice Center begins September 21st and Abby DuFrayne, chair of the bar’s Young Lawyers Committee, says students will get a tour of many legal specialties:
“They get general information about 11 different areas of the law, social security and disability, trust and estates, small claims and landlord/tenant, consumer credit, personal injury, criminal law, real estate, employment law, bankruptcy, workers compensation and family law.”
DeFrayne co-teaches one of the sessions, focusing on her speciality, family law:
“Custody, protection of abuse, support which includes both spousal support and child support, and divorce.”
