Body Found in Burning Car at a Delco School

Authorities in Delaware County, Pa. are trying to identify a body that was found inside a burning car early this morning on the playground of an elementary school.

KYW's Brad Segall reports that firefighters from Broomall were called to the Loomis Elementary School in Marple Township (Delaware County) around 3am, where they found a Hyundai sedan fully involved in flames.
After they extinguished the fire, they found the charred remains of a body in the driver's seat.

Police are now investigating, and an autopsy will be done to determine whether the person in the car was dead before the fire.

Police say the body was so badly burned that they haven't been able to positively say whether the victim is a man or a woman. However, police say they have determined who owned the car.
