The South Jersey boy who was the subject of an “Amber Alert” after police say he and his sex-offender father disappeared has been found, safe and sound.
KYW’s Ian Bush reports that eight-year-old Terry Dusseault Jr. — “TJ,” as his family calls him — was found unharmed this morning after the car being driven by his father was pulled over by police along Route 70 in Medford Township, NJ.
The Burlington County prosecutor’s office says that 38-year-old Terry Dusseault is now in police custody.
Authorities say he grabbed his son and drove off from their apartment yesterday before police could arrest him on charges that he’d sexually assaulted three other children (see related story).
TJ wasn’t among those he’s accused of attacking, but Dusseault’s brother, who lives with them, told police he was worried about the man’s mental state. The boy’s mom is deceased. Dusseault is a registered sex offender.
US marshals and the FBI were assisting South Jersey authorities in the hunt for Dusseault Sr. and Jr.
