Two first ladies will be on hand for ceremonies next month marking the ninth anniversary of the crash of a United Airlines flight in central Pennsylvania during the September 11th attacks.

KYW’s Ian Bush reports that both Michelle Obama and Laura Bush will be in Shanksville (Somerset County), Pa., where construction continues on a permanent memorial to the forty victims of Flight 93.

The plane was traveling from Newark, NJ to San Francisco when hijackers took control. Passengers struggled with the terrorists before the jet crashed in a field, killing all aboard.
Mrs. Bush has said we “must never forget the brave sacrifice of these extraordinary men and women.”
