Scott Arboretum Green Roof Tour

These days, GREEN is more than a color, it also means smart and sustainable in an environmental way. Green roofs are all that –a way to grow plants on top of a building; to help absorb all the water that falls on vast expanses of roof, and save energy by regulating the temperature on the roof – and so, in the building below.
Green roofs are very cool. And tomorrow night, Thursday, August 19th from 5 to 6:30 pm, you can take a tour of three green roofs at the Scott Arboretum in Swarthmore, PA. It's a guided tour so you'll get to ask questions as you learn the inner workings and benefits of these innovative building toppers, and get up close to see the sedums and other plants that create the intricate beauty of a green roof.
This tour is free and open to anyone age 12 and over – just be at the offices of the Scott Arboretum, tomorrow at 5pm. Get details and directions at the links below:
