Relaxing Vacations Have Longest Lasting Benefit

by KYW's medical editor Dr. Brian McDonough

The Journal is called applied research in the quality of life and they recently had a report that has a great deal to do with this time of year.

How is it possible to get the most out of a vacation and have the longest benefit. According to the study, those who are the happiest after vacation are those who take extremely relaxing vacations.

There was another interesting part of the report. It did not seem to matter how long the vacation was. Whether four days or two weeks it had similar results.

If you analyze the findings it suggests that you should take very relaxing vacations. And length of stay has no bearing on later happiness, than more, multiple shorter vacations.

The most important point is take vacations and give yourself a break. In today's world you need it.
