Wilmington Man Arrested and Charged With Multiple Rapes

A Wilmington man is in jail tonight, charged with three sexual assaults in the past few weeks,  including the rape of a child.
 
KYW's Margie Smith reports Police say 31-year-old Richard Hunt raped an 8-year-old Wilmington girl on three separate occasions.
 
He's also accused of sexually assaulting two women in Claymont at  knife point.
 
Hunt was arrested after leading police on a chase that ended when he smashed into a parked car on Madison Street in Wilmington.

Eyewitness Daelene Chrisden saw the crash:

"...and then he tried to turn, but he went up in the air and hit the house right here.  As I walked to the car to see if he was okay, he jumped out and ran around the corner."

Hunt fled, but police caught him.  He's now in jail with bail set at $600,000 cash.
