PSPCA's Summer of Love Finale

by KYW's Nan Talleno

The Pennsylvania SPCA's Summer of Love August celebration includes exclusive special adoption promotions throughout the month starting this Sunday, August 1st.

All dogs (ages 6 months and older) are available for a special adoption fee of $20. Many of these dogs have been rescued from neglectful situations. These are truly wonderful adoptable animals that need a second chance and a loving home. Any rescued dog that is adopted from the PSPCA at 350 E. Erie Ave. in Philadelphia will receive one free training class. You can also email me for any behavioral questions you may have. The website is www.hearttoheartcaninecounseling.com.

Not to forget the felines. Those interested in adopting a cat or kitten are invited to "Pick Your Price" and choose your own adoption fee throughout August.

Since June, when the Pennsylvania SPCA's Summer of Love adoption promotions began, the PSPCA has found adoptive homes for more than 1,800 dogs and cats in Philadelphia and across the state. Despite this success, however, there are still hundreds of animals in need of homes.
