It was Christmas in July at the Ford PAL recreation center in South Philadelphia!

KYW’s Michelle Durham spoke with Phillies community and charity events Michele DeVicaris who explains why they are there:
“On July 25th for Christmas in July at the Ballpark, the Ball girls collected toys to various organizations and PAL was one of the Centers, so we’re dropping off some of the toys today and we’re going to meet some of the kids that are going to get to pick out their toys!”
The kids were thrilled when they walked in and saw two tables filled with toys — like seven-year-old Trinity who tells us exactly what’s on there!
(Trinity:) “Board games dolls, um paint brush stuff.”
(Michelle:) “What do you think you’ll pick?”
(Trinity:) “Board game!”
(Michelle:) “Which one do you know?”
(Trinity:) “Sorry!”
And because Santa couldn’t come, the Phillie Phantatic stepped in. It’s not too late to donate toys — you can still send donations to the Phillies Front office at Citizens Bank Park.
