An Expanded "Dining Days" Opens in West Philadelphia

"University City Dining Days" are underway, through July 29th, this year with some new restaurants and more time to take advantage of the promotional event.

KYW's Karin Phillips reports that City Tap House, on the second floor of the Radian apartment building at 3925 Walnut Street, is a new restaurant to Philadelphia (see related podcast) and new to the University City Dining Days, joining a record number of 28 other restaurants in offering special prix fixe, three-course dinner specials.  (Tap House is offering a four-course special.)

"I guess you would say we're giving a terrific snapshot of what our menu is."

Lori Brennan of the University City District explains the first-time, one-week extension:

"We are trying to accommodate all of the extra diners that said they would want the opportunity to visit more than one or two restaurants if the promotion were longer than just one week."
