Bensalem police are calling the death of a man found floating in the Neshaminy Creek in Bucks County suspicious.
Police are asking for help from the public as they try to identify the body that was pulled from the creek late Sunday night.
An autopsy shows the man drowned but how his body got into the creek not far from the I-95 overpass is a mystery that police would like to solve.
Sergeant Andrew Aninsman says the white male is believed to be in his late twenties, about 5’8″ tall, 160 pounds with dark hair. Aninsman says he was wearing tight dark jeans, Converse sneakers, a black belt and a chain with a cross around his neck:
“You know we’re contacting police departments to have them pull their missing persons record, but we believe based on the vicinity where he was found that somebody does know this individual and we urge them to call the police department so we can identify who this individual is.”
A man walking with his daughter on a trail in the wooded area spotted the body. Police believe it may have been there for several days.
