Two people are dead after separate drowning incidents at the Jersey shore.

The first happened in Atlantic City, NJ early Sunday morning.  Police were flagged down by a woman around 1:30am who said she'd lost sight of her fiancé after he'd gone into the ocean near the Hilton Casino and Resort.

His body was found about an hour later on a beach about five blocks away, near Iowa Avenue.

He's identified as 24-year-old Melvin Brown Jr. of North Water Street in Philadelphia.

The second swimming accident happened around 10pm Sunday night.  Ocean City, NJ police say they received a call for a water rescue near the 8th Street beach.  The victim was taken to Shore Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

His name was being withheld pending notification of his family.
