Paul McCartney Will Perform August 14th in Philadelphia

Paul McCartney will bring his "Up and Coming" tour to Philadelphia for a performance August 14th at the Wachovia Center.

If you think that people would have had enough of silly love songs, you'd be wrong -- at least judging by the few McCartney fans who took time out of their busy day to attend the press announcement today in South Philadelphia.

Lisa Hatala-O'Boyle (right) drove four hours from upstate New York with her nine-year-old son in tow:

"We love Paul McCartney and we've been anxiously awaiting a Philly date. Every time he comes to Philly or New York, we do the Philly-New York circuit."

Denise McNamara, 23, is from Bellmawr, NJ:

"I've always been into the Beatles ever since I watched 'Thomas the Tank Engine' when I was little and Ringo was the conductor."

She's never seen McCartney in concert, but her dad has, and the whole family plans to go to the concert on August 14th if they can get tickets.

Oh yeah, tickets. They'll go for $65, $95, and $150 each when they go on sale starting June 21st -- or 10 days earlier if you have an American Express card.

McCartney's last stop here was in 2005, and some suggest that this one could be his last. He's turning 68 next week.
