Name Change Planned for Wachovia Center

by KYW's Mike DeNardo

The home of the Flyers and Sixers could soon be getting yet another name.

With Wells Fargo taking over Wachovia in '08, the process is underway to give the current Wachovia Center its fourth official name in the last 14 years.  We thought we'd see if people were able to run down all of the names the place has had:

(Woman:) "No, I can't."

(DeNardo:) "You don't want to give it a shot?"

(Woman:) "No, I can't."

(DeNardo:) "It started as the CoreStates Center."

(Woman:) "Yeah, but it was something before that, wasn't it?"

(DeNardo:) "It started out as the CoreStates Center, then became the First Union Center, and then the Wachovia Center."

(Woman:) "See, I told you, no I can't!"

In any case, the Wells Fargo signs are expected to be up on the arena this fall.
