On just the basis of their spectacular three-game and three-goal comeback against the Boston Bruins, this edition of the Philadelphia Flyers has already earned a spot in the annals of Philadelphia sports history.

But now they have a chance to carve out their position as one of the greatest Philadelphia sports teams of all time as they face the Chicago Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup final.

The Flyers best chance to beat the favored Hawks is by taking one of the first two games in Chicago. Although the Hawks have rightfully been assigned the role of favorite in this series, they have stumbled at home, losing one of their first two games in each of their first two series.

And when they rolled past the San Jose Sharks in the last round, they actually started with a couple of wins in San Jose.

The Flyers have the stuff to win the Cup, but their best – and maybe their only chance, will be with at least one win at Chicago in the first two games. If not, they will find the Hawks far tougher to dismiss than their previous conquests against the Devils, Bruins and Canadiens.
