Perhaps the level of hatred toward the Chicago Blackhawks may not be as high as our level of hate for the Cowboys, Mets or even the Knicks. That said, in a week or two, all of that could change. The Blackhawks are a very good hockey team with Depth, grit and good talent in all areas of the game. Jonathon Toews may be as good as Sydney Crosby and Alexandre Ovechkin. His game is not a flashy but he does the one thing in sports that doesn't show up on the score sheet. He makes his teammates better. Patrick Kane is no slouch and clearly is one third of one of the best lines in the NHL. The Blackhawks also boast a good defense and goaltending. Annti Niemi is a young goatender who like Michael Leighton has been a major factor.

This series comes down to some simple matchups. Mike Richards and Jonathon Toews. Chris Pronger and Duncan Keith. Antti Niemi and Michael Leighton. Those matchups will be big and the star players will have to be good if they want success. All of that said, secondary scoring from guys like Asham, JVR and Hartnell could give the Flyers an enormous lift.

This is the Stanley Cup Finals and I didn't see this run toward a Championship coming and especially the way it has transpired. Peter Laviolette has had a pulse on this Flyers team throughout the playoff run and he may be the Flyers biggest factor toward the Flyers hoisting Lord Stanleys Cup.
