Phils Shutout 18 Straight Innings

Phillies lost to the Mets Wednesday night, 5-0, marking the 2nd straight night the Phils had a shutout bid pitched against them. Mets lefty Hisanori Takahshi blanked the Phils through 6 innings allowing 5 hits and striking out 6.

Joe Blanton started for the Phillies and got the loss allowing 5 runs on 6 hits and walking 4. Phils have scored just 3 runs in their last 36 innings.
